My boss has a small hoard of silver that he has had for years. He asked me today what it would go for. He is trying to decide if he wants to sell or not.
I know he has Ben Franklins, silver quarters and some silver bars. Not sure what else he has. I am interested in the coins, but probably not the bars. I told him I might be able to find a buyer or two for the bars.
Hope he decides to sell.

Some others may want to bid on the bars unless he wants just one lot to go which would probably be less than several bidding on a bar we would like.
Or MH could Hog it! |

I am the same way, if someone I know and interact with regularly talks to me about some silver they have. I try to convince them to hold onto it, and even buy more if they can. If that doesn't work or if they really need the cash, then I would let them know I would be first in line to buy it at a fair price. I'm trying to get more and more people on board with silver, especially people I know personally. |

I too would recommend that he not sell as well. But let him know if he does want to sell that you will be more than happy to buy them. I have a question about my boss as well. He just found a stash of 90% coins at his house. Now he is not interested in selling as he understands the value of silver. I actually got him to start saving his pre 82 cents. He mentioned they were some mercury dimes which I collect. I don't think he cares much about the numismatic value just the silver. My question is if I were to offer him 90% Roosevelts for Mercury dimes what would be fair ratio?

mercs tend to be more worn, so you are giving him a good deal silver-wise. now, numismatically, they tend to go for a slight premium, so you are getting a good deal. the premium is slight. i would call this a win-win. |

I do not think that we are too different. I talked to him about the price of silver and how I feel that it is stable and has the potential to go back up. He knows that I am holding mine and adding to it because I believe it has upside potential. He is convinced that precious metals are going to crash. I told him silver was different than gold in that it is a precious metal and an industrial metal.
If he is bent on selling, I am happy to buy it off of him. |

Well, you helped him with his due dillegence as much as you can. Be very happy to relieve him of this burden and sleep well at night. :) |
