I was at walmart the other day and noticed a coin in the reject bin. I grabbed it and kept walking. It was a 2005 canadian quarter. This is the first time I have ever found anything in a reject bin.
The next day I got a canadian dime out of the coin counter at the bank when I was dumoing pennies.
A couple of weeks ago, I found some dimes wedged under the tray at the bank counter. Took a while for me and my fat hands to get them out w/o making a specticle of my self.
My wife believes that I am stealing when I do this. She thinks I should give them to the tellers.
It's like finding a dollar on the street. It's not stealing. You're not intentionally taking money from someone or out of their tray... finders keepers.
I'm with Ember, it is a lost coin to the person who originally sorted. They didn't check the tray, it's just like they dropped it on the ground and didn't pick it up. Start a mad money jar at home.
I agreed. After talking it over, she agreed too that it wasn't any different than finding a coin in the parking lot. No one was going to come looking for it and it certainly doesn't belong to the bank or the tellers.
