I visited my first coin shop today. It was a lot of fun. I bought a 1922 Peace Dollar for $15 and a 1997 1oz Silver Kookaburra for $22. I think I made out pretty good. What do you guys think?

Kooks sometimes retail from 25-30bucks. I got a collection of ms70's. So 22 is pretty nice.

Also, I stopped going to coin shops when they started to attempt to shaft me.

I'd buy all the 1922 Peace dollars I could afford at 15.
In fact I'd probably consider maxing out a credit card at 15.

Sounds like you found a nice shop. It's great to have a local shop to go spend some time in on a Saturday. You might find some good deals.. and you might even learn a thing or two. Now you just have to find a local coin club to attend.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available.

He had about 25 Peace Dollars and 10 Morgans on a tray and said anything on here is $15. I read on here buy anything 16 and under so I went for it.

I would have bought up all the Morgans at that price

The whole store is about the size of a closet and it also sells Civil War stuff and metal detecting supplies. The name is Rebel Coin Shop. The owner is about 65 I'd say and a proud southerner like myself. He started carrying on about how fiat is trash and saying all kinds of speculations. I was about to ask "Are you a Realcent member?"
Another guy came in and we got to talking and it turns out he sorts halves. He thought it was cool that I sort pennies.
