kirkland is correct for US 1/2 dollars. Also thew 1987 1/2 is NIFC. If you find one it is presumed broken from a mint set or maybe some sort of collector roll. The point is they were not issued into general circulation by the Mint.
Are they worth more then face? If so, not by much. Generally they are 'circulated' by time we find them in a roll. Some refer to these as "impaired proofs".
