Just got a email that APMEX is selling 5 oz bars 79 cents over spot also looking you will find 10 oz also at 79 cent over spot. So do we buy or wait? What yours thoughts.

| Buy as much as you can. If it goes lower you can buy more later, but if it jumps up monday in the far east then you might have missed your window. I checked today locally and the premium on a 5oz bar was nearly $10. |

I bought a 10 oz. A-Mark bar today at spot + 1.35 premium. Bought too early ... missed the 'low point'. The spot was just below $15.00. For me, that was a good price.
IMHO if you are purchasing silver as a hedge against bad things happening to the USD, or if hyperinflation comes, or if any number of 'not good' things happen, having a stack of silver and/or gold will be considered, in hindsight, a really great move.
This is just my opinion ... I have no charts, prognostications, etc. to prove anything. DYODD and best wishes regarding what ever you decide to do with silver.

79 is a good price for 1 ounce better than generic bars.
i don't like 5 oz bars so much but this is a good time to buy and that premium is modest. but i would buy brands like amark or apmex in 1 oz size at 1.00 premium or less. 1 oz is far easier to resell. |

I just bought 6 5-oz bars of silver from Apmex for $499.65. That is 30 ozs of silver for $500 (S&H included), which equals out to app. $16.55 an oz.
I just hope I am still smiling come Monday when the markets open! |

I am gonna hold out till Monday to buy. I bought some 2010 ASE's where i thought the bottom was. Now I need to order something else to balance the per oz amount |

I stand corrected.....I ended up paying $16.67 per oz, with the shipping costs factored in. I really don't think that with the stock market down, unempolyment up, and the dollar and the euro both doing poorly, that silver will drop in value too much. But hey, if its odes, I'll buy more of it.
Do you think that with the price of silver down, interest in investing in it will actually cause the price of it to rise?? |

Apmex is great, of course. Here's what I don't understand:
- Silver shot has roughly the same premium as nicely molded rounds and bars. What's up with that? |
