Yesterday was a very interesting day.

I went to pick up some halves from the bank across town. I knew I was short a little on what I needed for the halves so I looked for a branch of my main bank along the way. I didn't spot one, but did know of a bank branch right across the street from the source bank that I had enough funds in to cover what I was short.

I got my cash inside and asked if they had any halves or Ike dollars. There was a young teller (working drive through) and an older teller (helping me). They were like "oh yeah, some guy dropped off a bunch." I said I'd take all they had.

The young teller gave me $13.50 in halves (1 roll+loose). when I saw multiple liberty bells on the loose halves I knew I knew I hit paydirt.

The older teller had the Ikes and said "you mind if I keep a couple?" When I saw her pawing through them by date I cringed on the inside. she grabbed 3 or 4 and gave me a line about holding on to a few for her children or grandchildren. Still, she must have date-sorted instead of edge sort because she missed a 1972 S (40%).

When I got to the car and opened the roll, half of it was silver, including two 1920 walkers laying on top of each other, another 2 franklins (4 total) that are all really shiny (60, 60, 61, and 63 - proofs?), and the balance being 40%, including one 1970. One of the 60's looks like the face in not mirrored, but the background is.

I hit the source bank afterward and the head teller told me the truck still didn't drop. I hit a pizza shop across the way and ordered a large meats. The one I got was the works. when I took it back inside the guy was like sorry about that, I'll make you a meats. You can keep the other one.

Yesterday was a good day...I should have bought a lotto ticket

It's Half Time...all the time.

Pizza sounds so good right now. And Chinese food. And Japanese food. And my favorite- Italian food. Yes, I'm hungry.
Silver at face value is great. Whenever I find anything silver, It's a mini-high. Wonderful feeling.
