They can't tell me when their armored truck comes in for security reasons, but they told me that I could come in either next Friday, or the week after that. Surprised that they'd get them so soon. Does it take this short of time for you guys as well? Anyway, I'll let you guys know what I find when I get it. Wish me luck! Kirkland
Usually the head teller orders coins (phone call) from the armored truck service on a certain day of the week. If you get your order to her before she calls, you get your coins the next week. Weather permitting, the armored truck service will make deliveries on the same day each week, usually in the morning. In time, you will know what day the order is placed and what day the armored truck service delivers. Then, you'll know what day to show up before some other customer snags YOUR coins. |

It really depends on the branch. I have some that order the week prior, some the same week, Some 2 days before delivery. Also, none of my branches deliver in the morning. Most banks are a little sensitive to give out delivery information at first. But if you order large amounts, they will quickly change to the tune of 'get these out of our bank ASAP'.

| New SILVER stats have been posted. Look to the first post of this thread to get the details. Always look to the line just before the Kitco quotes to see the last post that was included in the latest update. The next update will be the last one for February. |

Stopped at a few banks on the way home today. $18 in teller halves yielded 5 68s, 7 67s, and 2 66ers All but one of the 40%ers came from a bank that sold me $9.5 in halves. As the teller was getting me the halves she said "there is no silver, I already checked for those. Too bad you didn't come in a couple of days ago. We had $60 of these but a lady came in and said said she wanted some halves to give to her grandkids and bought $50 worth." More than half of the banks I stop at tell me that someone else just bought all of our halves yesterday, last week, or 10 minutes ago. |

Just goes to show that you can't always trust tellers when they say there is no silver in their halves. Maybe she didn't know about the 40% halves from 1965-1969.
Today: $5.00 loose halves off of an incomplete bag from Wells Fargo. One 40%! 1969. 1 roll of halves from new bank. Skunk. $0.50 from another. Skunk. Tried several other banks, but no halves. |

Ugh....finally an end to a TRULY AWFUL day...
$30 NF String rolls halves- SKUNK!! $1 loose teller tray halves- SKUNK!! $310 NF String rolls halves- silver skunk 3 NIFC '02D '06D '08D $200 NF String rolls halves- silver skunk 2 NIFC '03D '07P(has a weird sticker on the reverse) $500 NF String box halves CWI #070 dated Nov. 3, 2009, inspector stamp #2819- SKUNK!! $500 NF String box halves, exact same info as above- silver skunk 1 NIFC '05P
I put over 100 miles on my car today and went half hunting for approximately 8 1/2 hours (10am to 6:30pm). I searched $1,541 face in halves just today, and what do I have to show for it? Nothing except for a handful of NIFC halves... . I should have known it was going to be a REALLY bad day when I called a bank about 20-25 miles from me out in the suburbs....teller says she has $82 in halves...ok, so I head out there to pick them up, they're wrapped up in a canvas bag w/ a tag on it...I pay and go to my car to open 'em up...what do I see but $82 IN CLAD IKES!!!!!!!!!!!! The teller mistook the clad Ikes for halves. Luckily, I was able to go back into the branch right away, and get my $82 back....should've headed home right then but noooo.....

Box One = Skunk Box Two some silver
(8) 1964 (2) 1967
One intresting thing. Box one had different colered Wrappers. They were a light Yellow. The second box, with silver had darker yellow rolls. Pic Below... the one on the right is darker yellow and had the silver.

My brother and I had a GREAT two day run on silver dimes...
$500.00 Dimes (2 boxes).
Box #1 (yesterday)
(1) 90% Silver Roosevelt - 63D
Box #2 (today)...Personal Best Box...previous personal best box was (4) Roos & (1) Ag Canadian...we beat that...
(7) 90% Silver Roosevelt - 50, 56, 61, 61D, 63D, (2)64
The first roll my brother opened contained the 50 & 56...the other 5 silvers were evenly spaced throughout the rest of the box...this is going to be a TOUGH machine wrapped box of dimes for us to beat!!!
I've really taken to the dimes in the last month. They are usually always available from anywhere and don't need to be ordered. Skunk boxes happen but are NOT the norm (like halves). Our silver dime results in February have countered some really, really stinky half dollar results of late.
More to follow in next post...

Again stopped at the local Pick N Save grocery store on the way taking bro home. Noticed a silver dime in the automatic change machine tower of coins in Aisle 8. The helpful Kelsey agreed to open the machine and fish it out for me...I scored...
1953-D Silver Roosevelt
Got to love the 100% results...no searching/no dumping!!!
I swear there is (2) silver quarters in the machine of Aisle 6...perhaps they are Canadian??? Kelsey had disappeared and I was unable to retrieve them. I will be dumping dimes at bank in that grocery store tomorrow morn and may be able to make a run at them then.

My local Brink's service company has run out of Brink's halves. They now order their halves from String in the long flat boxes with holes in them. The String rolls are the two colors you mentioned: Yellow and Light Yellow. I've not seen the SILVER rolls that you get. I believe the Light Yellow ones are older rolls and contain most of the SILVERs I get. |

| Country... That is weird. first of all my boxes are axactly what you said. flat boxes with holes in them. the light yellow rolls for me were all alrady searched. about 95% of them had a black dot on the Obverse. The dark yellow rolls had no searching marks and had the silver. I am going to go back monday and order 2 more boxes. ( they will only order two boxes at a time.) That is the first time i found so many 1964's it was really cool. I keep 90% . but I sell 40%. |

They were SKUNKS.
Hopefully the teller can get it worked out so I only get bags. |
