New SILVER stats have been posted. Look to the first post of this thread to get the details. Always look to the line just before the Kitco quotes to see the last post that was included in the latest update.

Nice find country.

Does your bank not mind you dumping 3k at once on them? If i go over 1k, I have to show my id which they scan into the system. I always try to get under 1k.

Thanks...

My dump bank branches accept my $3000 in halves. They have fast coin counters and I make sure I put each of the my 9 dump bank branches on a rotation so that I visit each one about once every two months. Keeps them happy knowing I don't bother them very often.

Some dump branches don't ask for id - they know me. Others, especially if it's a teller who doesn't know me, ask for my account number. I have a couple dump branches who always ask for my account number and my SSN since I'm getting over $1000 in CASH (branch manager policy I guess). I really don't care as long as they continue to take my $3000 in halves and give me paper fiat without any charges or fees.

Looks like to me that 21 is the total number of 1964s you found instead of 12. Do I have it right?

Some of these half boxes are in such a different league than the boxes available locally here in Delaware.
I note fb101 and I find halves at the same rate which gives me small comfort in the fact that it's not that I am doing something wrong.

I believe when we find halves locally, a few halves have entered our pool (coin base)of heavily searched coins and get rolled up. Then we find them and this happens over and over.

Finding pockets of unsearched coins is nearly impossible.

I am happy with my finds but am thinking I should still keep up the search for new sources.

All part of the game.

Happy hunting!

In what state do you find your SILVERs?

2001's are not considered NIFCs - 1987, 2002 to date.

Any banks nearby have coin counters? That's a nice way to dispose of your dumps.

From two road trips last week:

Day 1:

Found: 6 - 90%
26 - 40%
6 - NIFC
1 - English Penny

This was from ~half dozen banks, in the following form:
$200 - bank sealed bag
$860 - ~80% CWR & ~20% MWR (both produced)

Best find of the day was a solid roll of silver (3 were 90%) in a CWR

A couple of places where I scored have more to mine! :-)

Day 2:

$10 - loose change from teller - skunk
$120 MWR - 1 40% & 1 NIFC
$500 Bag - skunk (probably someone's dump)

All told: $1690 searched for 27 40% and 6 90%

The solid silver roll was sweet!

(I mainly do road trips to pick up pennies, and help defray the costs via halves...)

Country,

I am in Texas, South Texas. I wish I could say "I FIND silver" just occasionally.

To be honest though, I'll ask for halves whenever it is convenient for me to stop at a bank. BUt usually the take is 3 loose halves and no silver. Stuff like that. And my hunting/sorting is very sporadic.

2, $1k bags, 1-40%.

These were coin lock bags with someones account numbers on them. Date was in 4/2006, so these been sitting around a while. Just wish they were sitting around with AG in them. The one I found had to have been missed by a rim sorter because it looked like clad. Starting to worry my source is running dry.

Searching Report from last week:
Over $60 sorted.
NO SILVER!
However there was one NIFC from 2002. But that is really nothing.
