Not a bad batch in all...I noticed a few interesting things...I purchased $70 bwr from this same branch earlier this week. Today I return and they have exactly $430 in halves left. I think I purchased the remainder of the only $500 box they had in stock. If that is the case, then it was a pretty good box, yielding a total of 10 40%ers and 12 NIFC coins. Another interesting thing about this batch, was when I opened a roll that had a 40%er in it, there was always at least 1 or 2 NIFC coins in the same roll...one roll had 2 40%ers and 3 NIFC coins in it...interesting...

BAD! these were the worst nickels I have ever gotten. Normally nickels are even or a little long, and rarely short.

I had a nice day at the banks today. I dumped $3000 in halves at one of my dump bank branches. The counting machine was having some jams and took a long time to count my coins. All done - $3030.30. Would you like that in CASH sir? It sure makes up for the short rolls with a large gratuity. Of the 30c, I got a 2009 Guam quarter too.
There is another bank I stop by to see if they have some halves. This bank is located in a small retirement community and sometimes I get lucky. Well, I didn't get much, but teller one says I have $2 in halves, and teller two says she has $4 in halves. Teller 2 drops a half dollar - ding. The wonderful song of a SILVER coin singing to you as it dings. Yep, Ben Franklin 1963 it is - come home with me Ben. |

| You guys with your Bens and Walkers. From what I have found, I didn't really believe that they minted halves prior to 64. Then after i dump several thousand at my dump bank, the head teller pulls out a 63 and a 42 half. I think she was rubbing it in. She doesn't have to search boxes, they come to her. |
