I went to a flea market and a guy was selling 8 rolls of uncirculated/BU rolls of 1960-1963 for a dollar a piece. I picked them up and wondered would you guys have done so? And if you could buy pre-1982 penny rools circ. how much would you pay? .65 cents? .75 cents a roll?
Also I found that someone forced in a nickel into a penny roll I picked up from the bank. I didnt know that was possible without breaking the roll. Has this ever happen to you guys?
i would have, but out of numismatic reasons rather than hoarding reasons.there are alot of minor errors in the 60 and 61 years. i assume these rolls were not in the original wrappers?
I wish I could find a deal like you had! All the flea markets and coin dealers I go to want $1.00 for each uncir. coin, $50 a roll. I tell them why would I do that when I can find AU in bank rolls? No surprise no one has purchased them yet. I would have jumped on that with no second thought. You got a good deal with copper prices where they are now and in the condition you got them.
