Poll Question:
With silver getting close to 19 per ounce my question is are you going to take a profit if silver goes over 20 dollar per ounce and what will you sell first? Or will you buy more?

Choices:

40% silver
90% silver
war-nic
80% Candian silver
.999 bars
silver eagles
kept all that I have
try to buy more

The surest way to lose out on the long run is to focus on the short run.

Silver is going to go even higher than 20, so I would keep buying before it gets too high.

I will keep all that I have. I'm holding on for the eventual run up.

I'm always buying and selling, using the profits to slowly add to my personal stack.

I have no problem with taking a little off the table. I will unload 1/2 of my 90% and most of my 40% probably starting at $19.50 or so. I may be wrong, but I think we will have a pullback (20%)later in yr and want to have cash ready.

DYODD I have been wrong before.

My plans also. Sell some, then try to build of the stack even more. At face value of course.

Buy more now. Especially on any dips. By year end we should be well on our way to $25.

If I decide to sell it would take a long trip to get to coin shop or sell online. I don't know if I would sell for 20 but at 30+ or when my girls are getting ready for college, I would.

I am not sure what I would sell I have more 90% then anything (~$1500 fv) but I also have several dozen prospector 1oz rounds. and about 100 morgan's If I
save up/find $1000+ fv currently sitting at ~$140 of 40% I would sell them first If not then it would have to be the 90% ones.

Selling Ryedale sorted USA cents
1.5 each + shipping over 500fv 1.5 each +1/2 shipping
If you pick up 1.35 each
located MT/ND boarder.
after Ryedale sorting they are hand sorted to remove canadian then rechecked with Ryedale to insure all copper and count out $50 FV then placed in cloth bags and sealed with #1 copper wire.

Might sell a little worn junk (the equivalent of ugly Abe's) when silver gets to $25. Can't afford to buy more, that's why I came over to copper.

Hoard now and hold on!

hmmm. did this poll's talk of $19 - $20 Silver cause the market to plunge today??? If not that, who bought a whole lot yesterday to make the price nose-dive? Come on! 'fess up!

I've been thinking about selling some of my Mercs (a lot of which are slicks) hoping that potential buyers on eBay would see that they're old and silver, and then buying other 90 percenters or .999. Anyone else think this is a good idea, or should I just not worry about trying to flip my Mercs? I don't have a lot of Mercs--less than $50 face. What do you guys think?

seems like (from what I hear) that the fees on ebay will kill any potential profit you might make, before you can reinvest into .999. Otherwise, not a bad idea. Keep your slicks as your set aside pile and dump them at a good price, then wait for a pullback to jump on the ones you really want.

I have found - like most other dealers - that Ebay is neither a good place to buy OR sell bullion. The spreads are so thin and the fees are so high that it's next to impossible to do proper business. Private deals (like on this forum) are ideal.
