Why? My guess is that the weak jobs report of last week led to the end of the $USD rally. It appears that the FED will not be able to raise interest rates any time soon, with a now weaker than expected US economy. A stronger $USD is not in the cards.
I think we're heading for new highs in GOLD and $20+ SILVER soon. Did you BUY more PMs during the latest selloff?

Although I'm confident silver will be a great investment in the long run, I've given up trying to predict day to day or week to week moves. I try to buy on dips and when prices move higher I hope for another dip. . |

Yes, and I was also able to sell to RCM's for good prices. Woohoo for all of us.
I also herded some Buffalo generic bullion for $15 per ounce! We were even discussing the silver price but he just decided to sell for $15 each.

How did you get it that cheap? Must have been a private transaction, not a bullion/coin dealer. |

I was good and didn't buy any silver at the FUN Show so there shouldn't be any danger of it crashing in price. That's always what happens when I buy any, no matter how small the amount. |

if you look at the price moves up, they are starting to look phony. afterhours between Sun and Mon for example in silver. they could be taking it up just to take it down again. |
Buying: Peace/Morgan G+ at $15.00 copper cents at 1.3X wheat pennies at 3X

I am not convinced this is the next leg up. There are reasons to question it. I still wish I had bought more on the recent dip, but I think there will be another shortly. I need to see the dollar break below it's 50 day moving average before I look for the next stop which should be about $1310/$21 by my reckoning. It WILL come, it's just a matter of when. |

I see it more as the Asians being ahead of the curve - they are less loyal to King Dollar and are looking for something of value. Also keep in mind that the Asian currencies have strengthened against the dollar, so the prices don't seem as high to them as they do to us. US banks have a lot of short positions so they wouldn't want to drive the price up too much unless they were really confident they could push it back down before a short squeeze took place. Just my two cents. |

Nice score on the silver buffalos, regardless of if silver will soon dip again you can't turn down $15 an ounce. I wish I had your connections! |

everything you say is true in general, but any profit maximizing buyer would not buy in such a way as to send the price through the roof like it did in Asia monday morning. so its no surprise that its coming right back down. There are no markets anymore, only interventions. |

SILVER and GOLD on the Move...... It is always on the move, either up or down.
DO you want to sell....then you want it to go up.
Do you want to buy.....then you want it to go down
No matter which way it is going, there is an opportunity for everyone. Sell off your 40% and 90% when it is UP and buy .999 when it dips. |

Although I prefer the higher fineness, I won't turn my nose at 50%, 64%, 70%, 72%, 75%, 80%, 83.5% or 92.5% if it is priced right.
