Has anyone here ever gotten a silver eagle from a bank for a dollar? I have a great friend who works at a bank, and she pulls all silver that comes in. (Sorry if you live in central Georgia) One guy brought a silver eagle (circulated, mind you) in for cash. She gave him a dollar. I sold it for melt at the local coin shop because it was worn.

A SAE for face! I wish, of course it would be nicer to find a Quarter Eagle for a penny. Maybe some day.

Yes, I have gotten 1 eagle at face. It was mixed in with the Ikes in a special cup the teller had. She even looked at it and said hmm thats silver and than handed it over to me.

Also see some come through with the Ike bags, but not very often.

That's correct. Were looking at houses around Byron, Kathleen, and Warner Robins right now - it looks like a great area!
