| Good luck. I have on feebay right now a roll set of "WHEAT" pennies that I am trying to get $299.00 for that I can't get a bid on. Some of these rolls are from the teens, twenties and thirties. I have a lot of full rolls of S mints that are hard to find, you have to go through many dozens of bags to come up with a full roll. I hope you get a bid. |

Hey CWGII, I just checked out your listing and there's no picture uploaded. You might have better luck with a picture. |

Both you guys need to add the word "Unsearched" to your Title.. lol |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

My auction is over Sheba. I did get a bid on them so they are sold. Actually I think I sold them too cheap. There were a lot of rolls before 1940, and a lot of S mint rolls including a full set of 43's. It was over 3/4 of a bag for $289.00 There are a lot of people selling those great "unsearched" bags for almost that much. I know in those bags you only get a hand full of pennies before 1940 and very few if any S mints and no 43's. But then I would have to come up with one of those great stories like my great grandfather had them hidden in the floor boards of his old farm house that we just found when we were tearing it down.
So Hoard I don't think I could put in the title or description that they were unsearched because they were solid date rolls, so they were searched. |

That is why I said that.. lol.
Or you could have rolled them up and put Indian Head pennies on the end of a few rolls.

Just checked out cwgii's auction...
DO you mean you have 4 sets that you are selling? 4 sets of every year and mintmark from 1959 to 81? because it isn't exactly clear that each box of $25 is the full set. It is just clear that the first box is a full set, plus 3 more boxes.
So... are there 4 rolls of 1959 P and 4 rolls of 1959 D and 4 rolls of 1968 S etc???? |

Hey CWGII,
I really like the idea, and i'm interested to see if this works. Perhaps just start selling boxes of specific years. I also agree with HCBTT, you do need to add flavor to these bland auction links. Pictures are a really great start. Just because you don't have a camera, take a picture off the internet (everyone does it).
Has anyone had luck on ebay selling lots of specific years, from searches. Excluding mint series and BU obviously..

Glad to hear you got them sold NDFarmer! Congratulations. Do you use that name on eBay? Just curious because I never could find your auction.
Sounds like a really nice assortment .. if you ever do another eBay assortment like that, let me (us) know.

Sheba, Yes I use the same name on feebay. I did let people on realcent know about this sale. I had this sale listed under the linked sales section on realcent. I was hoping someone from realcent would bid on them but no one did. I did not put a link to my auction on this thread because I did not start it. Yes it was a very nice assortment it took me many hours of searching and sorting to put these rolls together. I searched many dozens of bags. I am disappointed that no one bid on them. I only got about $50.00 more for this bunch of pennies than most "unsearched" bags go for. And in those bags you only get a hand full of pennies before 1940 and no 43's, so I don't think I will sell any more rolls before 1940 this way. I guess I will just sit on them. I do have several sets of rolls from 1940 through 1958, I could sell you a set of those if you want. |
