% has been closer to 25% on String boxes... usually average around 21%. One box yielded 41 wheats, and another 22. Usually average around 8-10. Also, picked up $50 worth of bank rolls and had 2 solid rolls of 1974 AU/BU coppers... first ever solid CU rolls.
Just passed 125 pounds via hand sorting.

| Do you think this is because everyone is cashing in their penny jars to buy Christmas stuff? That's an awful big leap in percentages! Especially the jump in wheats! Cool for you! Wish I could have gotten the 1974's - it's my birth year... |

| People are depositing a lot of change this time of year. I picked up part of someone's 25 year old stash over the weekend. It was a $25 box of customer rolls from two seperate deposits, the first half of the box was normal, the second half of the box was extremely heavy on copper. I'd say about 20 rolls had between 1 and 5 zincs, with the zincs being only 1983, 1984 & 1985 all in BU condition. All the 1970's copper were in BU/MS condition and most of the 60's were in pretty good shape to and a couple BU 1959's. Not any wheats though in the 2nd half, those must've been sorted out prior to depositing. 46.8% CU over the entire box, my highest percentage yet! |
