Can you tell me where I can put my money and get a 30-40% profit with no risk of losing it?

You are assuming that your time is valueless and that it takes zero money/gas/wear and tear on car to pick up more pennies. I doubt that either is true.

And you are assuming that sorting pennies isn't done as an enjoyable hobby. Name me another hobby that nets positive or even breaks even!

I can order 500.00 of pennies from a bank 1 mile from my house. unroll and sort in about an 1 hour and dump the zincs the same day.

If I sell the same day, I just turned 100.00 into 140.00. On my time, no punching a clock.

I could put 100.00 into stocks, cross my fingers, and carry a rabbits foot and still might lose it all.

Sorting/Hoarding/ Selling copper pennies is not for everyone. My brother collects CD's. So find a hobby you enjoy. I have one I enjoy and will never lose its original value.

You don't have to be the BEST you just have to be.......SLICK

I still would take the costs into account when calculating the ROI. But you are right, lots of people spend money on a hobby, and if you enjoy sorting it is reasonable to factor in that enjoyment.

Wow, 14 a second, sounds like you have 3 ryedales going. That certainly will change the economics of it, and if you are doing enough you can amortize the cost of the machines pretty well.
