Should you return the zinc cents that your sort out from the coppers? Or just wait until they too are worth more than a cent. I believe they are now worth 86% of a cent for their zinc value.
I am currently returning the zincs to the bank. I return the zincs to my bank branch and buy my pennies at other banks in the area so that I do not get the same ones back.
It depends on whether or not you need the money. Safer than storing money in the bank, IMO. But, if you need the money to eat tonight, please take 'em back.
