This weekend, I had my best box ever. A $500 box of halves yielded a single 90% coin and 79 40% coins. Yes, 80 silver coins in one box. Should I quit now? I’ve heard about the full rolls of silver but I’m not getting my hopes up. This box was made even sweeter by the fact that the previous two boxes yielded only two nicked up S coins and no silver.
What is your best box ever?

Congrats! 80 silvers is a great score! I just had my best halves box ever this past Friday night:
90%: (13):
-8 '64 JFK
-3 Franklin-'53D, '60, Gem '61
-2 Walkers-'43D and '45
40%: (39)
3 Proofs- '76,'81, and '08.
There were goldplated, counterstamps, holed coins- This box had it all!

I remember Country posting about a box's rotation on a pallet and how there is almost always a companion to a good box. The one above was one of four I got that night and was the first one I sorted. I couldn't wait to bust into the other three but had to come back to the skunky reality of slicks and marked coins...All three had nada. But I can't complain.

I hope you find your companion box on your next trip!

I've had some pretty rediculous boxes before, but none as of late.I'd have to go back and check the prospecting thread.

----------------

This was one of Country's banner finds
quote:

15 Walk. Lib. 90% Silver - '35,'41,'41D,'42(4),'43(2),'44(2),'45(4)
18 Frank 90% Sil.- '50D,'51,'52(4),'52D,'53D(5),'57D(4),'58D,'62
6 Kennedy 90% Silver - '64(6)
15 Clad 40% Silver - '65,'66(2),'67(9),'68D(2),'69D

--------------------
This was one of mine that I happened to pull from that thread. No idea if it was the "best". Those were the good old days... I still pull decent amounts of silver here and there, but nothing like before.

Got a crazy $500 bag from the bank today.

Tally was

30 40%
98 90%
5 Franklins
1 2007 NIFC
1 Aussie 20 cent coin (probably worthless)

I have a couple more bags at home, but I probably wont bother posting those after I look through them. Those look like they might be 10-20 per bag.
