What fun. I think i can remember when i used to say the following too, "i can stop whenever i want", "Handsorting is more fun than machine sorting". Those were the good old days.
If you have a machine to sort, you can spend more time doing anything else, including refining your searches. You do in some respects need to pick & choose what you really want, but that's only because you gain the ability to search larger volumes of coins.
Selling Copper cents. $0 FV available at 1.4xFV. Also interested in trading for wheat pennies and other coins Please pm me for requests or inquiries.
i am older than a majority on this board and have a lot of responsibilities. i dont' have a lot of time to sort pennies, but if you have the time there is certainly value to it. i for one will buy your copper for 1.3x. i'm willing to do that because at 1.3x they are liquid. remember, you are getting them for 1.0x and only investing time. invest some time and you might find someone close to you who will buy at a higher price and without shipping costs.
it won't be long now before they stop making pennies and change the composition of nickels. so right now, you can't sell copper because anyone who would want them will just go to the bank. but soon that won't be an option in the u.s., and perhaps not in canada.
Buying: Peace/Morgan G+ at $15.00 copper cents at 1.3X wheat pennies at 3X
I have enjoyed reading the responses on this thread. The different perspectives are very informative.
