Precious metals seem to have sputtered over the last few days so hopefully they will drop again.

| seems like gold is hitting resistance at 1000, while silver continues to climb. If silver goes to $18, I'm going to start trading silver into gold. |

I was in Slick's court for sure until Friday. Now I'm not sure. This is a breakout move on the 2 year tech chart. I think what Slick says will come true, or close enough, but it may not be this week. It may just visit 1050 first.

Frankly, I have no clue. I would guess that it hovers plus or minus $1000 for a week or so, then slowly creeps above...how high, how soon? Who knows. Long term definately up though...

| I remember 1979-1980 quite well. There was the same feeling around then that the dollar was toast. The time of year was in the fall, as is now, that the exponential rise in PMs took place. Different then was that ordinary people had the silver coins to sell that they accumulated in the '60s and '70s from circulation. The only ones that will sell this time around are folks like us; most of us won't sell until we see much higher spot prices. |

The $1000 gold spot price has been resistance for awhile. Let's see if we get a strong closing price today. GOLD and SILVER should go much higher from here in the succeeding weeks.
Today, GOLD got to $1009 and SILVER to $16.87, but neither could hold these levels at the close of day. 
GOLD closed at $996, but is now $1002 in the after hours markets. Perhaps another run tomorrow.
