I'll take the other side of that bet; like a hot knife through butter. GOLD at $1050 by the end of this week and silver to $18.

Frankly, I have no clue. I would guess that it hovers plus or minus $1000 for a week or so, then slowly creeps above...how high, how soon? Who knows. Long term definately up though...
DJ,
It looks like you made the call for this week. Slick and I didn't come close. The price is stablizing around the old highs which I think is a very BULLISH signature. |

I think it goes back to the old "frog in a pot of cold water" principle. A nice slow slide into oblivion for the dollar won't ruffle too many feathers. TPTB can only do so much to suppress PM's, and prop up the dollar, so they do what they can to make the slide nice and slow.....The question is, how long can they contain the slide before it is out of their control? That's a question for people above my "pay grade" to answer, but I firmly believe that it will get beyond their control soon. Days, weeks, months? Who knows?

Looking like gold will close closer to $1050 than $950 this week. As I write this gold is at about $1007. Lord knows I did my humble part in helping to drive the price up early on in the week. |

I agree, gold appears to be breaking new ground and the plow is set at least $1,000 deep. |

Have we turned the corner from 3-digit Dollar gold to 4 digit? Can I put a gold star on my forehead for my "frog in a pot" analogy"

It looks like the melt up has begun. I want to see a confirmation that the 2008 GOLD high of $1033 is convincingly exceeded.
Did you notice that SILVER is getting stronger as PMs go higher? The Gold/Silver ratio is now at 60. When GOLD hit the $1033 high, silver was $21+. SILVER has some catching up to do. |

Your "frog in the pot" analogy was the most profound thing I read on this site all week. *****

I think it's just the news that EVERYone has been missing (except for us enlightened one here on Realcent, of course)! |
