i put all my 5o-s into a jar, when i fill it. i sort to year and mint mark. wllllllllllll i sorted today, found the 50d to finish a book. yeah

Congrats on the great find Charlie! The 50-D is the only one I have not found in circulation.
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Congrats on the great find! I found mine just be keeping all pre 1960 coins for some time then once I learned about the key dates I went back through and looked at the keepers and there she was. Keep up with the good work!

This post inspired me to sort through all of my pre 1960 nickels that I put on the side. Sadly I am still missing the 50, 50D, 38D, 38S, and 39 D. :(. Maybe next time I will get some luck! Continued success.
