Anyone have any stats on the drop in copper percentage year to year after the new pennies are circulated?

With the mint releasing 4 different pennies this year, essentially we are getting the equivalent to fast forwarding 4 years from now, no? Once they are fully circulated of course.

What kind of drop in percentages are we looking at here in the next year or so?

Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.

I do get a lot of new penny boxes in Texas (Selling them paid for me to get a Ryedale ), but have not noticed a drop in copper percentage in other boxes.

I would think that a long as you have a chance of getting copper I will sort. Just like 50 cent pieces today. Odds are not great but will still do it today

I am probably mistaken, but I thought that I understood that once the second penny in the series was minted then no more of the first one would be, and then the same for the second penny once the third was minted, and so on. But, I may be incorrect on this.

However, if I am correct then this would be a regular year give or take as all years vary on the amount that is minted.

Does anyone else know for certain about this???

Thanks.
