| This week I searched $50 of pennies from a bag (5,000 pennies). I hand sort by date, rejecting all the 1982s. I found: 4 dimes; 1 mexican 20-something. 1101 pre 1982 coppers, including 18 I categorize as AU or close to. 31 2009 which I save while they are still in AU condition --- I am not sure why I save 2009s. And 34 wheats from the 1950s; 18 wheats from the 1940s; 3 wheats from the 1930s, and 4 wheats from the 1920s. 0 older than 1920. The 4 from the 1920s were: 29s, 24s, 29s, 20D. In the 1940s was one 1943, but unfortunately, it was steel. Thats a total of 59 wheats. My % was approximately 22% coppers, and 1% wheats. This took me several hours. Not sure what the ROI is ---- I guess I would have to know what else I would have done with those hours. |

The only negative was that each of the 40 rolls were short 2-4 cents each, but with 77% Cu I didn't mind at all. |

Return was a conflict they said I only returned $9.31
Reran the penny bag they changed off an still said I only gave them $9.31 Finally went back to morning bal an found they were off $9.45 tot was then $18.76 which was one cent off my projected return. They gave me the $18.76 but I'm not sure if they will try to cut me off. Hopefully they will find where the error was made an be happy  |

as much as i hate it, im gonna have to cut back quite a bit on the sorting for a while.
working too many hours as it is and as that country song goes theres just "too much month at the end of the money"
