Keep collecting those nickels man......... I was against it once but saw the light.

OKay OKay. all this is great. But i didn't see an answer to how you make 1K simply by buying 50 bricks of nickels. Was the answer you wait a couple years?

Selling Copper cents. $0 FV available at 1.4xFV. Also interested in trading for wheat pennies and other coins Please pm me for requests or inquiries.

I THINK the answer is that he is PONCE and doesn't have to answer. And his reasoning doesn't have to make sense. It makes sense to him, watever reason or rationilization he has, and that seems to be just fine with all the members that have been around the forum for a while.

You questioned him as well as pennysaved and Job???(Ls, Is, or ones?). Your response seems rather belligerent.

Ok amigos, just got back from the bank with my 50 new bricks, added to my other 30 bricks I could almost build a house hahahahahahahahaha.

The bank wanted me to sign a piece of paper and I did........but........I changed the wording of it and I also took a video of the transaction with my pen spy camera.

The trucks tires sank about 5 inches into the mud when I got back home.......feel better now about the future.

Like I said before "The government will keep on printing paper fiat but not the coins as per Germany in 1929-1923 so that they will retain its original value"

Every foreign government is saying that the us is in deep doodoo but for the head of state in the US.......better be ready than sorry.

Okay.... Lemon Thrower's answer is Lemon's, Ponce never quite explained how the value suddenly jumps from 5k to 6k. If we are just speculating on the future potential then why not say, "I give them 5K and they give me back 15K, heck of a deal!" It doesn't make anymore or less sense.

"belligerent" - no, frustrated or indignant? A little.
In my post I did the math as if Ponce was getting Al nickels in Cuba and the responses didn't correct or clarify until I outright asked where the 'Godfather' was located.

I think Job was still wanting a plain and simple answer from PONCE on his train of thought/rationale/intent.

All the rest aside, I'm impressed with the successful purchase of $5K in nickels! Wish I could do the same! (even if I couldn't do it all at once.)

Ponce -

Just wondering what kind of "paperwork" you needed to sign in order to pick up the $5,000.00 of coin??? Was it just something to confirm that they delivered the nickels per your request...because as I understand it, taking possession of $5000.00 in coin doesn't break or even challenge any laws of the land. Also...what kind of verbiage in the documentation were you forced to change??

Finally...why the need to secretly record the transaction on a pen spy camera???

Take care,

Jeff

Jeff it was a confirmation of the delivery but it didn't say what I gave for the 50 bricks, I had them add the following...."Transaction was completed with the $5,000 dollars taken from Ponce's checking account"........the key word here is "completed", I added that only because they wanted me to sign something.

And the pen camera nothing but for safety, better be safe than sorry.

I did a little research on Ponce's using nickels as "shot in a shoot gun". Turns out the outside diameter of the Jefferson is EXACTLY the same as the internal diameter of an 8 gauge shotgun. Eleven coins is looks very close to the 2 ounce payload. Now if the height of the wad to the crimp is about .86" we got a winner here in their use. Ponce, thanx for the info. This is stuff they will NEVER teach you in public schools.

I believe with dimes they deliver a buck-20 to the offensive party.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Yesterday someone that I know asked me if I wanted to buy two bricks from him and I said yes......good show.

Now then.......stuff that you can do with nickels that you cannot do with a $100.00 dollar bill........paper weight, as a sinker for fishing, door stop, put a few in a sock for self defence, make holes in them as washers (cheaper than the store), drop a brick on someones head, use the the rolls as rocks, tie a few bricks around someones legs and drop him in the ocean, in a shootgun......I could go on just about for ever but I am just giving the basic ideas.

Whenever we make a bank run (about twice a week), I try to get a box of nickels and pennies.

I can't bring myself to spend a nickel or a copper penny.

Two years ago, I bought a coin sorter. Turns out it doesn't work. If I can get that working, I'll play the part of 'coinstar' at work - keeping all the pennies and nickels, and my employer can use the dimes and quarters.

I figure I have my body weight in nickels out in the garage... :D

JobIII/ I only hold them....I now have about 120 bricks dating back to 1977, only God knows what kind of goodies there are in that bunch.

Mooski? I do have one from CostCo, for about $50.00......it was my good intention to find out how much I had but after going 1/10 of one of my five gallons I said "To hell with it", I would have sat there for a couple of months.

I do know that thre are silver in there together with a lot of foreigns coins and tokens.....found 2 tokens for the whore house in Nevada.
