Hello Fellow SILVER treasure hunters:

As of New Year's day 2010 (a new decade for the 21st century ), please post your finds for 2010 right here.

It's important to post your SKUNKS as well as your great SILVER finds. That keeps the statistics honest. I'll try to post some graphs of our SILVER finds as 2010 proceeds along by adding data to this initial post. I'll see if I can post some interesting insights into the data here in this initial post for 2010 too. Even though this is a national tabulation of all our finds, I think its fun to know what finds are being made and at what frequentcy.

It might be interesting to see how many Barbers, Walkers, Franklins, and 90% Kennedys are found too. Also, how many Barbers and Mercurys dimes we find. I'll try to keep track of all of these.

Now, go out and find that SILVER treasure!!

Those of you who are considering becoming RealCent members - Why not join today and stake your SILVER claims right here? Compete with other members in the race to see who is the best SILVER hunter.

Box 6

Second to the last roll had a dark 67'

I'll take it!

Now to my stack of penny and nickel boxes.

Work was pure hell this past week. I have been running (own/operate) a security electronic business since 1975.

I do a zillion things and this particular hobby is also my income.

We do nitch stuff and large commercial fire alarms mostly.

The nitch stuff, high end security electronics, is mostly fun but this past week we had some brutal situations that required working day and night to get things right. Exhausted and the coins are great therapy.

Now to run my big dogs in the woods and come home to quiet, coins and good food (with calm beasts at my feet)

Happy New Year!

$1000 in halves from the bank

1-1987P
1-1987D

I am tempted (but won't do it) to go back and had sort instead of edge sorting. Maybe there are more 87's.

Tho boxes nickels.

Nothing at all but a few pre sixty coins

Two boxes pennies brought a few wheats and a few more than normal coppers.

A $3500+ coin dumpt today.

Found a 1951 Quarter in the reject when I got to the second dump machine.

also a steel penny and a few dollars Canadian on the magnet (Penny Archade)

Off to a good start this year. Stopped by the bank on the way to work and picked up 10.50 in halves.. 1 roll and 1 loose.
Imagine my surprise when I saw that silver band in the roll.
1 90% Kennedy!

I may have to quit sorting now so I can keep my yield close to 5%.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available.

I keep all pure nickel Canadian coins in a seperate jar. I do not know if nickel will ever be $20/lb again, but you never know how high China's demand for metal will be. I only have about $50 in Canadian pure nickel coins, so I'am not out alot of cash--I'll wait to see what happens.

$1000 worth of nicks or 1000 nicks?

If it's a $1000 worth, how many were searched in January?
