This may be in the wrong forum since they aren't silver, but I did find them in the process of sorting for silver dimes.....

I got the 1980s yesterday. I got the 8 - 2004s all from the same box!

Dan,

Double check the edges of the 2004-S, they could be 90% silver. The mint made both versions of the proofs in 2004. Same for the 1998-S and 2003-S.

Woot! You are the proof-findingest person I have ever seen! Where do you live that you get all these?

Hey country, thanks for the tip, but none of the dimes are silver. I would have spotted the silver because I edge sort all dimes. I used to worry that I might miss a proof by edge sorting but the reeds on a proof are better looking than reeds on non-proofs. Ant, To be fair, I have posted some of these before. I like posting these pics, lol. Here are some proof of halves I have found. I think one of the 1976 proofs is 90% or 40% silver. I live in southeast alabama.

The 1976-S that looks like silver will be a 40%er. In addition to clads (1976, 1976-D, 1976-S(proof only) ), both circulation strikes and proofs (1976-S Only) were minted in 40% silver.

After 1964, the mint didn't produce 90%ers until the 1992-S silver proofs.
