I found an interesting Nickle in my change today. At first glance it looked like a 1960P, but upon closer inspection it was a 1961 that somebody re-punched the '61 into '60. The numbers were the right height, but were a tad to fat. I guess it's kind of hard to turn a "1" into a "0". The faint circle surrounding the "0" was a sure give away for an altered coin.
Another addition to the "That's Kind of a Neat Coin" jar.
Would there be any chance for that year to be a re-punch error? When ever I come across one of these screwball coins it drives me nuts to figure it out if its real or if its worth anything.
