The guy that won got a steal if the appraisals the seller had were correct. The paintings alone were supposedly worth over a half a million. But then they also say in their description that they can't be sure the paintings are original.

Yeah those auctions are a dime a dozen. Before I'd bid on that, I'd request the Appraisers license and info to insure he was legit.
