Many CU hoarders have found IHs in rolls or bags. Some have been lucky enough to find Flying Eagle cents. But for those of us who search for silver:

What's the oldest silver coin you have found in a bank roll or bag?

What's the most valuable silver coin you have found in a bank roll or bag?

Good Hunting !

Oldest I think I've found is the 1925 Mercury I snagged in a Fed box of dimes. That'd probably be the most valuable, as well. Well, minus all of the 90% halves.

If memory serves me correctly, a 1906 barber half is the oldest.
Never paid attention to most valuable.

found a barber. Might have been 1904 or something. Cant remember. The only barber I ever found.

It came out of a CWR lot of 6-8 rolls (cant remember) of solid silver '64s, franklins, and walkers.

A Barber dime. An '08S.

As far as most valuable I don't really know.

I guess this counts. I used to sort through dollar coins for the usual errors. One I found was a Washington with a missing clad layer. Got $491 on feebay for it. Does that count? That would be the most valuable.

That's a nice find . Was this coin entirely copper without the clad layer?

I guess you can get real good money for error coins.

The best coin I ever found was a 1932-S quarter (I still have it) that I fished out of a bag of bullion a long time ago. Many many years ago, some dealers added lower grade key coins as an incentive to sell their bullion bags.

Nice question Country. the oldest silver coin I have found was a 65' 40%'er. The oldest coin in the wild would be a 1910 wheat cent. I bought a small quantity of wheat cents for $10 that had a 1909s in it, I don't know if that counts or not.

The oldest I have ever found in Silver is a 1927 Wlaker half. I think that might be the oldest I have ever found period even in pennies.
