One note, Don't drop one. Most break. =( Two of mine died that way.

I use one made by AWS that I bought off ebay for less than $20. It's accurate. If you cna, try to find one that measures troy ounces. if not, you have to write down the toz-gram conversions. This is more of an issue for gold (and also for bullion silver), as people tend to use toz a lot more.

And my scale is accurate. I've measured anything from zinc/copper pennies to junk silver to cupro/40%/90% silver halves to gold coins of various sizes & denominations.

If you are carrying digital scales around here you are automatically labeled a drug dealer. You better carry around some coins to weigh as well. Or something else coin related....

Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Deal,

Good point. I don't see a problem. I almost always have a bag/box of coins (or 2, 3,4 boxes) with me.

I got a digital one for $20 on Ebay also. I love it. The same scale was sold with several different descriptions, so I bid on the lowest. Here's the exact same one I got a few years ago.

I use an AMW-250. It works great with small weights and I like it a lot because you can weight stuff in grams ounces or pennyeights.

I purchased a Weighmax 3805 Digital Pocket Scale on eBay for $10. It can weigh up to 500 grams and accurate to .1 gram accuracy. I think its great for weighing coins, scrap, jewelry, etc. Its a nice little scale for the price. It came with 4 AAA batteries.
