Every one asked, yes, they are mixed as my scale even on grams is not accurate enough.

but..... here is what i have done.

i rolled 2 boxes. weighed half the rolls. came up with an average of 147 grams per roll.

nowwwwww. a zn roll is 125, all cu, is 155. soooo a diff of 30.. 22/30 is a hair over 70% cu.

soo, i then weighted out 1470 grams--3 times, and ran them through the counter. and rolled them. plus 4, plus 5 and minus 1.

the first $25 box weighed just a hair over 16 pounds, 3 oz. second 16 ,6.

2 bags,1475x5 for 25 plus $

soooo, there is over 100$, of allllllll 1982 . i would like 125 paypaled for immediate shipment.

Might want to list this in the buy/sell section.

I DID, but there were so many questions, i thought i would try to explain my methodology.

also to get some reponses as to the percentage of cu/zn ratio.

DP, you being new and all, welcome... But its really bad etiquette to make a post as this, when if you weren't interested you shouldn't have posted.

No thanks as this can be percieved as condescending.

Obvious this in my opinion only...

You're selling $100 in pennies that are 70% copper for $125. If one subtracts the $30 in Zn and dumps them, one is buying $70 in Cu pennies for $95.

If I understood your numbers correctly and I did my math correctly, you are asking approximately 1.35 per Cu. That seems to be the going rate, but,,, someone has to do some sortin'.

Sorted can be had for about the same price. You probably should lower the price a bit to compensate for the additional labour of sorting on the buyers part.

70% Cu seems a skosh low, I think you may have a higher percentage.

I had almost $120 of saved up '82s that I finally sorted with a homemade beam scale. Although not very exact, I put the Zn and Cu in two identical containers and broke out the tape measure. I’m got approximately 78% Cu. That falls right in line with the accepted 75-80% range.

what with shipping being $12.and the paypal fee. it gives me a whopping profit of 10 bucks. last time i sold, it ended up costing me.as one of 9 boxes got 'lost in the mail' . so i lost 95$ .

not a problem. if no one wants them. they go back to the bank at the end of the month.
