I dont think "everyone is finding them". I popped open 3 rolls of 4/30 9774 and found some of the weaker, probably less valuable doubles. If I ordered a day earlier, I bet I would have found some strong doubles.
If none are found on the regular bank boxes, I'd say the strong double error is relatively rare. Like someone said, maybe like the '98 wide AMs. Not super valuable, bu tnot worthless either.
This is the errors I think I'm seeing. Hard to see well with my 10x loupe, but there's a vertical line running between the thumb & index. DDR-4
DDR-003 and DDR-004 are very close to one another. Look at both and you will see that the #3 is lower and closer to the index finger while the #4 is closer to the thumb.

There have been very few REAL mint errors since the early 90's or before.
Basically true. Mint errors are excessively common but that is due to people now looking for them. A long time ago error coins were basicallly ignored unless really noticable, such as the 55DD. After that one people started going nuts looking for any slight flaw such as now using microscopes for checking out each coin. At coin shows there are people selling error coins that do need an electron microscope to see the error.
