Hello all, I've not posted or sorted in some time, as I've been spending all my spare time remodeling a house. Anyway, I've been accumulating a little inventory to sort, and deceided to sort a bag tonight. I opened up a clear $50.00 bag and started. There were 199 darn dimes and one quarter. I'm amazed the bank didn't notice. There were also about 2220 copper pennies.

True. I'm finding 1 or 2 dimes in each box now. Perhaps I should go to the bank and complain.

$19.90 in dimes
$22.20 in copper pennies
$ 8.88 profit on the copper
$ .25 in 1 quarter
$51.23 before zincs. So all the zinc was pure profit.

You have been rewarded for your hard work on the house remodel.
Perhaps a greater reward will await you if you let the bank know of this error? We wouldn't want any banks to be in financial difficulties, would we???

Enjoy.

That was a great bag, 2220 cu cents plus the dimes! I had picked up the bag over a month ago, and doubt the bank would be able to tell who they shorted. So,I'm not going to tell the bank about their error but I am going to make a contribution to a local charity which provides meals to the needy. As implied in the title, I'm looking for copper, not darn dimes.
