So APMEX is selling $50.00 bags of Coppers for $99.99
Has anyone sold coppers to them or contacted them to see if they are buying?

| I think highroller contacted them at one point and they were buying at 1.3 or 1.4 cents per, but dont quote me on that. |

| Really. I need to call them next week then. I live about 30 miles from APMEX. I used to buy coins from them when I was a kid when they were just a small coin shop. If I could get a local buyer at 1.3 times face or more I could afford to get a ryedale. |

If you could just drive them over and not have to ship them, it would make a huge difference. Plus, it would save you a lot of work and tape. |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.
Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available. |

We went through this discussion when they first started selling copper memorials. Pointing people at APMEX for a price benchmark is fastastic. They legitamize LMCs as a real investment.
I agree - if you can drive them over you have a big advantage. Also, maybe you could have the coins precounted or even prebagged for them. I'd explore the idea.

| We now have one of the largest online bullion outfits in the USA selling common Lincoln cents at 2X face. What's the shipping charge? Does anyone know? The word is out. Institutional sorting has probably already begun. |

| APMEX has membership ties to realcent too. I agree, they have helped moved copper cent investing into the mainstream. |

If you only knew...I think most on here would be surprised at how many TONS are took out of circulation EVERY DAY.
That is why you better sort hard and heavy if you want them at face value. |

Apmex charges shipping by dollar value of transaction. Up to $200 is $10, $500 is $13, $1000 is $20
So you could have them ship $500 face for $20. $500 face weighs 340 lbs. lol |

The most important questions to ask about APMEX selling common date copper Lincoln cents at 2X face plus shipping:
1) Are customers actually BUYING them? 2) How many are they selling per week at 2X face + shipping?
APMEX selling copper pennies is very good news for us.

I suppose you could check this daily by looking at their inventory- the people at goldismoney.info are always talking about seeing how many of an item is currently available by attempting to place 9999 (or whatever large number) of items in their 'basket' and then the system says "we only have 1234" (or whatever).
Edit: It appears they are actually listing inventory on the site, so you could just write that number down daily. For example, right now they have 14 bags of $50 copper cents, and 5 bags of $50 mixed wheats. |

| Off topic, but I just noticed they almost all their junk silver lots. Wonder if the supply influx is finally starting to work through the market. IIRC, they had a decent amount of $500 & $100 bags a week ago. |

Thanks for the info on the quantity available. I'm curious how long it will take to sell these at 2X face. We shall see. |

contacted apmex
Theyre not buying bags of memorial cents. Perhaps the inventory they have on hand is to gauge investor interest.
Sidenote, was quoted at 3.8x for 40%, and 10x for 90%
Very decent pricing from a reputable dealer IMO. Especially as seeing how the premiums have evaporated on junk. |

| Ya I called them as well. They said they do buy them but are not currently buying anything until they can move the stock they already have. |

4 days later and still 14 in inventory, with the price reduced for 5 or more. |

| Down to 28 bags from 40. Looks like we have a market. The banks have to be aware of this. Bad money is pushing good money out of circulation. |

Agreed. And lately I've been hearing more "oh, do you look through them for special dates? We had a guy come in here yesterday and clean us out." Nice to know it's catching on, but sucks for us! |

| Let's hope the public doesn't catch up too soon...I still have a lot more to hoard. It seems that with so many bags selling, there is a market for them, even greatly above spot price. ??? |
