I think this thread on GIM could be helpful for those of us stuck in the city and/or not able to bug-out as far away from the city as we'd like WTSHTF--at least it's food for thought on what can be done right where you are, if you can't get out of Dodge. There are two key phrase that this poster makes which I couldn't agree with more: "Prepping is a state of mind which does not depend on any particular location to accomplish" and this one:
"Many will accuse me of playing with fire, living the city life while planning for a rural relocation and I will agree with you. This has been my choice and my dilemma for a couple of years now. I have planned and practiced like many of you. Will my plans stand up to to the test, don't know? However, I have not let my location every stop me from prepping for a single second and neither should you."
I'm an urbanite too but I haven't let that keep me from prepping. My line of work requires me to be in the city, but I'd venture I'm almost as well prepared as many from the country.
