Yea, I noticed that too. I'm wondering if it is even worth ordering. By the time I get them they might already be in change, and then they would be a waste of money.

People want them wiht the mint wrapper, go figure. I have 10 sets I will be speculating on sometime in July... Ugh...

But when I see one set of LP1 go for $63.00 today, thats enough for me to buy some up with the pretty wrappers.

I think its a safe bet the price will hit 75% of LP1 easy.

Mint wrappers do go a long way for some people. Sometimes buying things OTHER people may want makes more sense than buying what you like....

Deal

Live free or die.
Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Now that is thinking. Post office cancelled the stamps and handed them back to you? Would love to see a photo of that.

I saw a roll sell last night for $150.0, I think he sold out cheap. I got to thinking about it and unofficially I heard they had $10k they distributed. That is a MAX of 20k rolls, possible and not everyone got them stamped and postmarked like I did. With a maximum of 20k "mintage numbers" possible, compared to other "low mintage" things like the 500k S-VDB and such, I am not sure what I want to do at this point. Sell? Hold? Advice? I wanna hear what YOU think.

good job with the rolls bro.

What I'd do is sell a couple. Put up LONG auctions on ebay or something to try and get some exposure. Or put up a BIN or best offer auctins to see what people offer. Set the BIN really high.

Then see what they sell for. This will help you gauge their value and whether to hold the rest.

Wanna trade some for a White House Commerative Dollar? Those were hot once. How about some $25 bags of State quarters?

So glad I sold out my Delaware and Pennsylvania quarters when they were wholesaling for $60 a roll. How long should a guy hold onto stuff hoping for higher profits? Markets do go down too.

I agree with highroller. At least sell a good portion now to lock some profits. Keep a few for your collection or speculation.

The way it worked at the post office is you put the stamp on and you used the cancellation stamp on the roll. All they did was sell the stamps and observe. The cancellation stmpaers were chained to the desk. They had 6 of them, but only 4 were being used when I got in there. They had 2 tables one for the black canclelation stampers and one for red. How did you score the Lincoln Railsplitter stamps Kurr. They didn't have any when I went thru and I went before you did.

They did not have any when I went through either. I found a guy from Florida who was selling the 8.4x shhets for 12.00 and bought a couple sheets, cause I wanted some stamps at least to match the coins.

Also I was one of the dead last ones to go though. They had the P.O. employees stamping them by that point. I just blotted, blew on em a sec to dry the ink, and bagged. Still missed 4 rolls that didn't get stamped. I am thinking they are for "single coin sales" now!

I've noticed the original new lincoln penny boxes are going steadily down in price. Used to be $250 a box on ebay. Now it's down to $150. maybe better to dump them while they're still very rare.

I would think with a max of 20k rolls possible, that alone would keep them "rare" for collectors. Am I wrong?

Theres plenty of items with low mintages that people dont collect. My advice SELL THEM WHEN THEY ARE HOT!!! Theres only so many collectors of "first day issue" coins.
