im looking to get a scale to weigh the 82s copper from zinc. first what kind should i get? does anyone have one they want to sell? and second, how much does a copper and a zinc weigh? thanks for the help.
Coppers are 3.1 grams and zincs are 2.5 i got my scale from a coin shop but made the mistake of getting a postal scale before (not precise enough) so be sure that it measures to .1 g before you get one. Hope this helps! PM me if needed....
Some suggest putting a popsicle stick on a pencil and then using a known copper as a weight on one end. I just let my Ryedale figure it out.

Yeah, I got one cheap on ebay for like $10 and is accurate down to .01 grams. I am starting to get used to the weight difference between the zinc/copper coins and can usually tell the difference just by holding it on my figertip. I still use the scale though for confirmation.
