Cant narrow it down to one, but mine include: Maples, ASE's, Phils, 5 and 10 oz bars, 90% coins
Some I dont collect currently are: Brittanias, Libertads, Pandas, Lunars, anything that has been colorized, anything sterling |
My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

+1 for the most part.
How can you not have bars on your poll? |

90% and 40% is my favorite: It is real US silver money that is not being made any more. |

I love 40% US Silver, so I voted for that. However, I do think Britannias' have the best design out of the choices listed. They are just way to pricey to get my vote as I only have a few of 'em. |

I agree with mikep.
I like all silver but I don't know the big allure of the eagles. Why pay such a premium when all .999 is the same? |

All silver is nice, but I literally fell head over heels in love with the Silver Philharmonic...hence, my avatar. Of course, I am partial to stringed instruments and great music. It ranks up there with my interest in coins. |

Wow, 40% and 90% Junk Silver is winning big time! I thought that people would favor ASE's but it doesn't seem to be the case here. Also, I'm starting to like Canadian Silver Maple Leafs because they are much bigger then the Eagles. Can anybody explain why? Are they not .9999? I think Im going to change my vote!!! |

Ooooopppppps. Sorry. I've voted now. I have problems with this between my poor vision and my frustration over the computer and it's slow speed.
Thanks for pointing this out to me, Hector6man.
You didn't ask in the poll, but I will also mention that for personal preference, the Maple Leaf is a very close second, in my opinion, for it's design. I love autumn leaves, so everytime I see one I am reminded of that lovely season. Stop groaning guys.......an occasional "strange female reasoning" point of view can bring out much needed comic relief!!! |

i don't like 40% because there is not much silver in them but I love 90%. Found an 1892-S in G in a bag of junk - worth about $250. |
Buying: Peace/Morgan G+ at $15.00 copper cents at 1.3X wheat pennies at 3X

Someone mentioned earlier about the ridiculous premiums on ASE's. They are beautiful without a doubt, but I have stopped buying them unless I can get them for a smaller premium. I also really like the Maples too. The Maples are 0.999 just like the ASE's but they have a smaller diameter and greater thickness. Both coins contain the same amount of silver and weigh the same. |

I voted for Maples because:
1) I am Canadian 2) They are beautiful 3) They are pure
I know there is a hefty premium, but the question simply was "what's your favorite silver"? If I could have all of my silver in one format and cost wasn't in question, it would be Maples all the way! |

yeah, I mean it seems most folks here are really frugal (in a good way) so I don't see the logic in paying the high premium for identical metal content to many other rounds. They are good looking but IMO the maple leaf is the best looking round |

My favorite silver is... well that interesting I can't make up my mind. ASE are by far, IMO, the easiest to resale despite their premiums. So its not my favorite but thats what I have bought the most of. 90% silver is actually my favorite to own but not to sell :)

I'm not good at picking favorites, but Engelhard, Johnson-Matthey, National, and the older A-Mark bars are what I like to get. I also like the poured-style bars from Market Harmony, Monarch, and Pro-Built.
I brought this up on another forum where a lot of people praise government-issued bullion and only really got one response. For a demographic that largely distrusts the government, why is there so much emphasis placed on government-issued bullion? The argument that it has a face value seems strange since one of the main reasons for stacking is a lack of confidence in government-backed currency. Don't get me wrong, there are some nice looking government-issued coins out there, but I only go for those when I find a good deal. Government bullion only accounts for about 10% of my silver. |

Maples and bars are my favorite...I just love the way the maples look and the bars have a nice heftiness to them.

10 oz bars are my favorite. Reason being they normaly only carry a very small premium, and they are easily storable. |
