With all this penny sorting, I am thinking it is best to start storing some of the BU quality pennies I am finding in holders. I find many 1960's decade pennies in very high quality. I am hitting up a coin show soon and will probably buy some holders in person. Is 3 cents per a holder as low as you can go in bulk buying of a few hundred?

You can add a few of these to the shopping cart and plug in your zip code to see how much shipping would be.

For a small quantity, shipping costs will probably make an in-person purchase cheaper.

Thanks for the tip. Tubes probably are much better. They store more compact and are more economical. I have many shiny 1960's pennies. They just keep coming.

They really are. once I fill a tube I roll it up... I have so much OCD I actually have a tube for each decade when I'm sorting to put AU's in...

Yea that's what I do. I bought a box with 100 rolls, so that I sort all the wheats by date, and put any BU coppers in other rolls. I even have dates written on the tops of all the plastic rolls.
