Of course, I don't have rolls of those Oh, I might have a TN laying around, but most of mine are OK, OH, and AK.

They were minted in mass quantities, and one poll indicated there were tens of millions of people saving them.
They'll never be rare.

I have some of the Georgia and Conneticut D rolls. Now is probably a good time to sell. I believe they will never be rare either. When the program first started I bought a mint sewn bag of Delaware quarters and took it to coin club for show and tell. I opened it and spent a bunch of them at coin club that night.. saying "There are way too many of these minted.. they will never be worth anything." A few weeks later I was offered $60 a roll wholesale for the ones I had left. Sadly, I had spent $850 out of that bag.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

I just get the silver proofs. At least they have the metal value to fall back on.

Will the state (and territory) quarter series be worth anything long term?

I doubt it. They make a pretty neat looking set, though. My son made one with just uncirculated Ps and put it in a Dansco album. Heh, I think the album cost about as much as the coins.

I bet they are really sharp, though. Some of those designs are very detailed. I think a silver proof set will have some numismatic value.

Scored 20 Rolls of new D mint Puerto Rico quarters today. They had a whole box, but they wouldn't sell them all to me. These have been really hard to get.. none of my banks have gotten any. Maybe I can talk them out of a few more rolls when I pick up my order of 24 boxes of pennies on Friday.

I paid about $16 each for three rolls of Kentucky quarters, but hey, I'm in love with a woman from Kentucky, so I happily plead insanity!

I went on a trip to Poland last summer and brought a fresh roll of then just released Arizona quarters. Sold them for 30 bucks and ended up trading for a cool looking Polish silver coin. Basically I got a somewhat rare old coin for less than melt. If any of you are traveling abroad you should consider taking some fresh quarter rolls with you. Some places are really into coin collecting (including Poland apparently) and uncirculated American coins are scare in other countries.

I read article about state quarters being rare on coinflation a couple days ago and picked up a couple rolls of District of Columbia quarters. I picked up $5.25 in Puerto Rico quarters, the teller broke them open and sold the rest.

In addition to none of the banks getting new pennies around here, they said nickels and dimes aren't coming either. It would be interesting that yes they made a lot and were collected for out of circulation, but the BU ones may still be rare.

Those guys are all about some coin collecting, Russia and Austria too. Som numismatists in the U.S. complain about commemoratives and series . . . heh, they should check out those other places. You'd go broke trying to get complete sets. Artists, architecture, famous ships, old cities, explorers, popes, native flora, native fauna . . . EVERYTHING gets a series.
