3 days shy of 1 year sorting and penny #115,501 had the honor of being my first Indian. 1907 with all lettering intact. Nothing on the head band but still in nice shape. Wife still thinks I'm crazy but I really do enjoy the hunt.

You're kidding, right?

Nice find. Crank up the sorting, you'll find more. They are out there....

Deal

Live free or die.
Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Congrats on joining the club. You hit yours at pretty much the same point in time (in terms of numbers sorted) that I did.

My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

Thanks everyone. I tend to use the same bank for my rolls, 6 different branches but the same bank. Who knows maybe there is another lurking out there. By the way it was found in a plastic wrap roll, not a paper wrap which I thought was even more uncommon.

You're kidding, right?

I usually locate my more financially lucrative finds in coin service wrapped rolls, like an '09 VDB, 2 '43Fe's and some teens and twenties.
Every now and then (more like every 3 or 4 months) I get a nice CWR, lots of '40's and '50's Wheats or lots of Cu's, "S's", Canuk-A-Cents and BU '60's or '70's, but my "Money Cents" are usually in coins service wrapped rolls.

I still haven't seen Indians anywhere, I believe they hang out with bigfoot coins!

Hit a box last week that I thought might have them, many of the end of the rolls showed wheats. The box had a total of 610 wheat pennies out of 2,500! It was awesome, but not a single fabeled Indian.... My machine just cleared 250,000.

That is an awesome find. None for me yet, either.

On Mother's Day I searched roll number 1000 since I began last July and that is the roll that I found a 2000 Wide AM in and I thought that rather cool. But I would love a find like yours. I will just continue searching.

Enjoy.
