I am getting ready to buy some American Silver Eagles and some other coins.
Does anyone think Canadian Maple Leafs are a good buy?
Thanks for your help!

After reading people's discussions on other websites, I went ahead and bought two tubes of Silver Eagles. Other than that, I am still open for responses on this thread for future purchases. Thanks for the quick response, oober!

| Canadian Maple Leafs have a higher face ($5 CND) value and lower premium than Eagles. Same goes for the Austrian Philharmonics (1.5 Euros). You might want to consider buying all three, Eagles, Maples and Philharmonics. |

Only if you insist on using a credit card. Mail a money order or check and shipping for up to $200 in merchandise is $9.95, and up to $500 in merchandise is $12.95. They don't make any money on the shipping since they always send it insured/registered/signature confirmation etc. |

Canadian Maple leaves are an excellent Ag investment. The only problem is finding a price you like or are willing to pay. If you can get them, grab all you can. |

| The yellow top mint tubes hold 25 maple leafs. I think earlier Maple Leaf tubes only held 20. Silver Eagles and Austrian Phils come in tubes of 20. |

Am I the only one that they only send with delivery confirmation? I've ordered from them a few times and havent ever had to sign for the package.
I do like maples though. |

I believe there's two types of USPS Delivery Confirmation: (1) The post office just scans the package, and (2) Delivery Confirmation with "Signature Required". Registered always requires a signature. Insured packages get scanned, but it depends on whether "Signature Required" was asked by the sender. It depends on what services they requested when they mailed your package. |

I have always had to sign. In fact, they have always put a bright yellow "DO NOT LEAVE - SIGNATURE REQUIRED" sticker on the package. I have read tales of packages left though, even with that sticker. I guess I'm just fortunate enough to have responsible postal workers in my area |

| I picked up 25 Canadian and 8 Austrian Phils. In total it was under $500 and with shipping $12.95, it came out to $510.59 shipped. |
