| My bank says they get requests for halves all the time. Not sure where you guys get these as all the banks near me NEVER have half dollars. |

CuproNickle, I have a standing order for 3 boxes of halves weekly at one bank. I picked up an extra box this morning from a bank that occasionally will have a box left over from a 1 box order for another customer. ( There is a 2 box order minimum) I have opened half of it at this time. The first roll had 4 - 40% halves. That made me think I had a great box but the rest of that half only had 2 more - 40% halves. I am about to open the other half.
Update: I thought when I opened the first roll and it had 4 - 40% silver halves, that I had a great box. As it turns out, I found a total of 9 halves. This is much better than my average for fed halves and I am happy. Usually, however, when the first roll yields 20% silver halves, you are gonna get more than 9 halves out of the whole box.

Ye gods 0CD that's what I've been doing most of this year.
I have had about 4 good boxes this year out of 45
Lately I find a lot of J coins some with multiple dates.  |
