A co-worker of mine received this in his change a coouple of days ago at a local Taco Bell. I wish I could make this up, but these are the actual coins.
The good news is he let me have them seeing he knew I collect coins
Can the IH count as 'my' first find in the wild for this year?
A year ago I got a few wheats in change at a Taco Bell. So I did ask the guy if he had any more in his drawer, and he found a few and let me buy them. I didn't ask about any other coins.
Congratulations on a nice group! The IHC is specially nice. I have a 'newbie' question about the Wash. Quarter. Do the Bicentennial quarters carry a premium value over other common dates? Are they worth settting aside if I find any in change? Thanks!!

Only the AU and UNC ones. There were so many that a roll of circulated ones really doesn't carry a premium (unless you're SGS, but that's another thread)
Thanks gatzdon. My wife saves the state quarters as she finds dates she needs in change and I know that once in awhile she comes across the bicenntenial quarter. We'll keep our eyes peeled for Au and UNC ones.
gat, although they dont really have a premium for circulated bicentenials im sure that someone would be willing to pay more than face for a roll if you were able to accumulate one....just my opinion im keeping them just because they are not nearly as common as eagle/state reverse quarters. All of my cashiers at work save them for me as well as wheat cents just got a XF 1927 wheatie today!:-D cheers!
