I found some odd coins, but they were brought up in different/other people's threads to I decided to gather all the information here. I hope this does not bother anyone.

The links below take you to the front and back of my 1866 Shield Nickel. See how the date looks funny? Notice how the back has no rays:

I also found a 1992-D penny with what looks like slight doubling of the 1992 and D. See below:

Hard to tell with 100% certainty but it looks like the shield nickel is an 1868, and not 1866. That would explain the lack of rays. I was really hoping you had an 1866 pattern coin of some sort, but it's looking like an 1868 with a beat up second 8...sorry man.

I'll defer on the 1992-P

My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

I agree with CH assesment of the sheild nickel. If you look at the bottom of the 6 and the bottom of the last number you can tell they have a differnt curved shape. The last number is most likey an 8
