Just wanted to say that I had a chance to attend a coin show in the Orlando area back the middle of March and it was a great experience--my husband was taking a short vacation so he actually had days off that would work to attend this show. I ended up joining CONECA and was able to have some of my "strange finds" looked over by an expert. It was cool to know that I had actually found a few errors. They have an article on their website right now about Chinese fakes/forgeries of error coins and I was actually able to see some of these as they were being checked over/documented at the time.

I haven't had a chance to post lately on here. Our slow dial-up at home is becoming worse and worse and the frustration over trying to read and/or post is grueling. So today I had my husband drive me to the closest library where I could use my laptop with the high speed internet.

It must be ME--computers or anything connected with them sense my fear and act up. Even with the high speed some things are very slow on here.

I am hoping his schedule is changing for the future so there may be a possibility that I can attend more coin shows.

Thanks for allowing me to share.

1. Keep on going to as many coin shows as possible. They are the best way to learn about coins.
2. Remember at a coin show when you buy a coin you get to actually see what your buying, no postage, no handling, no insurances, no return policy problems.
3. As to your computer. You may want to check out a program called Clean Up for Windows. It's downloadable on the internet and it's FREE. It will remove tons of items that may well be slowing your computer down as well as getting rid of all those links to web sites where someone could find a way into your computer.
If you do get that program, the only thing to watch out for is your temp file. Don't put anything in there if you want to keep it. Clean Up removes all items in the Temp files as well as your trash, recycle bin, etc. In some instances I've seen someones computer increase speeds by double after that. I use it every time I leave the internet. Now on run number 1,220 on that program.
