Got a 10 oz. Pan American bar by Northwest Territorial Mint for $169 cash. I figured out a while back that $17 an ounce is my pain threshold under normal market conditions, but I don't think we're in normal market conditions anymore, so when my local dealer said all he had in right now were 5- and 10-ouncers and was lucky to have those, I told him I'd take it.

the last big order I put in at NWTM took about 10 weeks to receive. But Silver was less than 9 an ounce and I was willing to wait.

Ugh wish I had known you were looking for them. I went to a coin show today and one dealer had 10 oz bars, maybe 10 of them, for $150/each.
My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

I didn't know I was going to be looking for them today. I'd planned on buying only about six 1-oz. bars, but all my dealer had was 5 and 10 oz., so I went back to the bank and pulled out a little more cash and came back to get what he had.

That's been awhile! I remember going to a Coin Show a few years back, and there were bowls of junk Morgan dollars for $9 each!! The last show I went to there was no junk dollars at all!
