Hello to All!
Just need some help in a coin I found just now in a roll of pennies that came out of a box of pennies. It looks like a shiny new penny but on the front (I assume) it has Treasury on the top edge, United States Mint on the bottom edge with a tiny star on each outer edges. In the center within a circle there is a shield with a weight on the top, triangle top with 13 stars in the middle and a key on the bottom. On the back it says UNCIRCULATED on the top edge, a very large D in the center and DENVER on the bottom edge. This is probably not a very good description and I am to good at pictures so maybe someone else has found one of these and can tell me what it might be. Doesn't seem to be copper and my scale it not very good. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Smartinson, and welcome to the forum!
I've got one of those, but it was from the Philadelphia mint. I had assumed that they come from the plastic wrapped mint uncirculated sets, but I haven't been able to find any evidence of this. I too would like to know where they come from. Maybe I'll post a picture tonight.

Thank you for that information. Ask at the bank but no one knew what it was. Will stick it back as a keeper.

Its a placeholder in mint sets - they are not worth much on their own as far as I know, but pretty neat.

That's a pretty cool token, probably worth a small premium.
As far as I know, it is stated "In God We Trust" on the US dollar. How can I trust this currency if I do not believe in God?

Another quick question. In these same rolls I found the uncirculated token, there are alot of coins that look yellow. Dates are from 1959 to 2006 on these. Is this something in the copper content or what. The 1959 actually looked like a new coin. 1968D looked yellow/greenish. Just curious.
