I had originally posted this yesterday on the Nickel Forum. But I was wondering if I should have posted it in this forum. For those of you who don't read the other forums...
I got lucky yesterday when I was unravelling my second roll of pennies. It wasn't pennies at all. It was a full roll of nickels! Nice score!!
I had complained earlier at the nickel forum that a lot of the nickel rolls were running at 39 coins per roll instead of the usual 40 pieces. I guess this bonus was to make up for my shortages.
This makes me wonder... How common is it to find dimes in cent rolls? Seems unlikely to me, or a rather rare occurrence. Nickels in a penny roll? I would never have thought! How often do people get shorted a coin on rolls? I don't really verify, but maybe I should!
As far as I know, it is stated "In God We Trust" on the US dollar. How can I trust this currency if I do not believe in God?
I get all my pennies in bags. I just went through a bag that had 70 dimes in it and two of them were silver. I have found everything from dollar coins to plastic pennies to earrings in my bags. I found 2 earrings that look like diamonds in bags. I have not taken them in to have them appraised yet.

Guess what!! Yes it was full roll of dimes that I got this time. Well 49 dimes - 1 short. It was was a CWR in the old style rolling papers with the diagnol cut. The numbers appear in the precut holes & line up depending on what type of coin you were wrapping. So the same person rolled all 3 rolls that I have posted about here.
I swear nobody knows how to count anymore!! Lucky for me!! This time! I will have to watch my transactions with the credit union closer. I deal with this CU but just not this branch.
Must have been an elderly person with bad eyesight that rolled the coins. Congrats on the nickels and dimes! I frequently find dimes mixed into the penny rolls even in the Brinks boxes. I also found a plastic dime in a Brinks box. lol

I throw all the penny roll dimes in a jar and just roll and deposit them with other coin. I must fill a $5 dime roll every $100 or so of pennies returned/$200 or so sorted.
